3. Guaranteed one-on-one tuition for
children who fall behind.


CONSERVATIVES

1. Parents encouraged to set up
state-funded "free" schools.
2. Teachers will need 2:2 degrees or
above to enter the profession.
3. Give schools more disciplinary power;
scrap appeals against exclusions.


LIBERAL DEMOCRATS

1. Give schools £2,500 for every
pupil on free school meals.
2. All schools to enjoy the same freedom
as academies.
3. Scrap top-up tuition fees for university
students over six years.
